A Good Few Days
Lancamaster! What is about Lancaster, eh? We've all grown up and graduated and we're supposed to become proper members of society and leave the care-free days of university behind us...but everyone gets homesick for lancaster! Especially me. It's half term this week and i was utterly in need of a place to run away to and relax and have fun...went to lancaster of course :)
On Monday it was Phil's birthday and we all went to Miyabi, lancaster's japanese restaurant. In my last year i had a list of things i wanted to do in lancaster before i left, and this was one of them, and i've finally managed to go there! Hurrah. Ate my first raw fish as well, much nicer than i imagined...thank you Phil for being so persuasive. It's so much fun - you all sit around a big metal thing and the chef cook's everyone's meal right there as you eat your starters and it starts off with lots of fire.
On Tuesday I trundled down to the art department to check out how things have changed and i had a lovely long chat with dear Bill who contributed far more to my achievement of a 2:1 than any tutor ever did.
Went ballroom dancing, which i'd been looking forward to for ages...it was fun but way too basic, obviously...but still good to get into the gold dance shoes in a place more appropriate than my kitchen!
Following this it was off for a night of dancing in Revolution for Lisa and myself - so wonderful to catch up with my style guru and bearer of all secrets :) She wants me to come back to lancaster so we can live together...but she's just trying to get away from her current housemates, selfish thing!
Wednesday was a crazy day of trying to meet lots of friends in a short space of time...Lisa for lunch, Jristos for afternoon tea, Luke for pre-dinner natter (and got absolutely drenched in the famous lancaster rain whilst searching for luke's house), back to Phil for a dvd and Soupa Nova soup...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...soup...
Anyhoo! Got back to Lancaster via stafford today and i already want to go back...roll on Christmas hols!
