Revival Starts in County Main!!

Yesterday (sunday) we were able to welcome seven Christian freshers to King's Church - that's good enough as it it is, but get this: they all live on the same corridor in halls, and there are two more of them who couldn't make it that morning but wanted to. NINE Christians on one corridor who all seem to be well up for Jesus!! We third years have been praying for God to provide us with labourers for the harvest. We've been praying into our vision to start a corridor-based cell. Looks like we may have been given not just one ready-made cell, we've probably got two! These cells could have an amzing influence. This particular college building, County Main, has four corridors of approximately 20-25 students in each, which all link up, so it's one huge community. All kinds of ideas and possibilites are forming in our heads now - but God's will be done, man. This needs prayer. Gotta dream God's dreams not our own, but no doubt his will be even wilder than what we could think of anyway! Bring it on!!

Will be praying for some more. Sounds pretty scarce pickings there. At King's (Durham) we had about 11 from Grey alone. I think the total intake for the God Squad at Grey is about 30ish (out of a fresher intake of 256).

Here's a prayer I've tried a few times: "May there be more fresher Christians at the end of the year than at the start."

It's a thought...

That sounds great! What great potential that is! And it's fruit as well! That deserves a fourth exclamaition mark! Hehe.

Woo yeah!

It's been great here, too. Due to problems with becoming an official "Guild Society" and stuff, Fusion hasn't really got off its arse in freshers week before, but this yr the Christian societies all worked together on stalls, and we got 74 freshers for Fusion alone! This is so so cool!

Keep us posted on them corridor cells :D

thanks for the vaguely discouraging post there si :s

Just for stats, Lancaster actually gets loads of Christians but they mostly end up at the CU or in the Christain societies which belong to the Chaplaincy. I don't wanna be mean to those groups, but they are really quite inward focussed and even the discipleship they do have isn't challenging enough by a long way. I've felt blessed by the new County Christians coz they seem like they're well up for witnessing and going deep with God and doing his actual will rather than drifting along in nice safe Christian bubbles!

This is just the beginning
